Dubai – Mubasher: The board of Dubai Financial Market Company (DFM) has appointed Hamed Ahmed Ali as the company's new CEO.

This step came after the company had recently formed a new board, chaired by Helal Saeed Al Marri, according to a recent press release.

Ali previously occupied the positions of the DFM Deputy CEO and Chief Markets Officer from July 2020 to November 2021 and the Executive Director of Nasdaq Dubai between 2006 and 2008.

The Chairman of the DFM, Helal Saeed Al Marri, said: "The DFM is well-positioned to reinforce its dynamic role given its world-class infrastructure and regulations as well as its highly capable team noting that Emiarti talents account for the vast majority of them."

It is noteworthy to mention that last week, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance of the UAE, announced plans to list ten government and state-owned companies on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and double the stock market size to AED 3 trillion.
